Would have been an ANPR operation catching people with no tax/MOT/insurance. They run them often from the Michael Wood services in Gloucestershire.
Somewhere before the catch team would have been a car/van with ANPR camera which when it sees a suspect vehicle then gets the catch team to pull them further down the road. more…

I’ve had a Mirrycle handlebar mirror for years and years. It’s solid, very adjustable. and the mirror is slightly convex so the coverage is great without being distorted. I love it, it’s the best thing around especially when I’m in traffic. They make 3 models now, I have the original.

Generally speaking I try to ignore the antics of car/4x4 et al drivers till I think they're going to affect me. The moral is stay away fae em as much as possible as frankly they're trouble. I've ran bikes all my life(since 1980) so I think I know wot I'm speaking about. All of us can get angry or make mistakes, but consideration for others I think more…

The only head-shaking is for other bikers mate! :) Lesson learnt eh?
Almost killed another biker myself this morning, was looking for a side road in an unfamiliar part of town when I suddenly braked and stopped; no signals, and the biker about to come out from the side road almost went into me!
Loud apologies from my part; more…

well done. here we are just given a license without any real checking. pay a bribe and the usual fees and you just get the license to drive a bike with gears. number of accidents involving 2 wheelers are numerous . very few people take the basic precautions. helmet wearing is optional here. road signs, hand signals are ill learnt or done casually. more…

Quite a read...but interesting.
I only ever rode one bike, also a Bamtam BSA 125. I've thought about hiring a Bromfiets in Holland, so called because they are fiets (bikes) with a 15cc motor which in typical Dutch humour goes "brom, brom..." hence Bromfiets.
I was torn between speedway and stockcars as a kid and decided if I was to la more…

Hi Mike,
Excellent blog, enjoyed reading it all.

but I started to speed up in the end i was doing about 44 in a 30 zone he then proceeded to pass me and pull me over.
When he asked me if I knew h more…
